In our nursery lots of our planning stems from the children’s interests. Staff then work hard to create and provide fantastic learning experiences around a huge range of topics. At the moment, a large group of our children are learning about people who help us. Today we had an exciting visit from the police.
When we gathered children’s views on what the police do before today’s visit, most of their answers were something along the lines of “catch the bad guys.” It will be interesting to see this learning develop and grow as the children’s experience widens.
Why not ask to have a look at our learning walls or floorbooks next time you are in Nursery, where you will be able to see what knowledge the children have added!
