Welcome to Inshes Primary School and Early Learning and Childcare (ELC). We are a nurturing school with a strong belief in teamwork and achievement for all. Our staff team work together to provide a safe and positive environment for our children to flourish. At Inshes we have enhanced specialist provision, and create an inclusive and aspirational curriculum for all our learners.
We are proud to be a recipient of the UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award, recognising our school’s strong commitment to placing children’s rights at the heart of everything we do.
At Inshes Primary, we believe every child should know their rights, understand how to access them, and see how those rights apply in their daily lives — at school, at home, and in the wider world. Through learning about, through and for rights, our children are empowered to become confident, active and compassionate global citizens.
This award reflects the passion, collaboration and dedication of our pupils, staff and wider school community. We are now continuing our journey towards Gold — deepening our rights-based practice and creating a culture where every voice is heard and every right respected.
It is a privilege to be Head Teacher of Inshes Primary and ELC. We are proud of the strong community relationships the school enjoys and together with the Parent Council, our aim is to develop the range of opportunities available to all our children. We want our children to believe in themselves and their abilities, to have fun and be inspired, to learn and to develop skills that will help them make the most of the opportunities they have here with us, and in their future lives.
