Wow! That was a jam packed week in P1/2!
Our home corner this week transformed into a dentist surgery. 🦷 We looked at how the dentist help us, how to look after our teeth and what happens when our baby teeth fall out. We used mini marshmallows to create a 3-D model of the mouth, learning that children have 20 teeth and what their names were. We especially enjoyed when Miss Mark had a packet of marshmallows left over! 🦷
Phonics this week P1s created chains for ch and made books of oo words when looking at oo. ⛓📚
The P2s revisited th and wh. The P2s this week have focused on comprehension, reading our books and then answering questions before and after.📖
In maths this week we focused on time learning about the number the minute hand over hand and created our very own clocks! 🕰 This week we have focused on o’clock and half past! We have loved being able to identify the real time throughout the day (especially lunchtime!) ⏰
We have also looked at resilience this week especially as we are learning for the new things can sometimes be tricky. As a class we have created a song which we will learn over the next couple of weeks that we can sing when we find tasks that are challenging to keep pushing on ✅
