Week Beginning 24.4.23

Happy Friday P2/3,

Congratulations to Natalia, Klaine and Jamie for achieving ‘Writers of the Week’. This week’s ‘Mathematician of the Week’ is Eve. Well done to everyone for achieving the ‘Star of the Week’ award for an excellent class assembly performance.

Our new IDL topic is called Our Ancient World. This week we have been learning about Greek Gods and Goddesses. In writing we used our imagination to design, create and write about a Greek God or Goddess. In Phonics the P2’s learned the split digraph i-e/glide sound. The P3’s learned about prefixes (disconnect/misbehave/anticlockwise). In Grammar we have been learning about the past, present and future tense.

In Mental Maths we have been estimating and rounding to the nearest 10 or 100. In Numeracy we have been been solving worded addition and subtraction money problems and giving change.

In Art we created the Greek Goddess Medusa. In P.E we have been practising bat and ball skills and playing team invasion games.

A big well done to everyone in P2/3 for performing in today’s assembly about Scottish Farming. You should all be very proud of yourselves!
