We had a fabulously fun week filled with learning, celebrations and events! There was The Coronation events, May the Fourth ⭐️🔭😀, a picnic and discos! We welcomed Mrs Macrae back and said a fond farewell to Miss Elliot.
We’ve been doing lots of revision of the different groups of sounds in phonics and we’ve been doing our best to use this in our independent reading and writing! We had our reading groups with differentiated follow up tasks and on Thursday we wrote a description of the King 👑 As always the children came up with super descriptions!
In numeracy we are learning the concept of counting in twos and we were skip counting within 100! We did some money work with Mrs Mcrae on Friday.
We have been learning to say hello 👋 in French 🇫🇷 and we changed our ‘Hello Everyone” morning greeting song to ‘Bonjour Everyone’ the children really seemed to enjoy learning a new language!
With our buddies, on Wednesday, we played ‘old school’ playground games like Jacks, marbles, skipping etc. It was a lovely afternoon to be outside playing together.
As part of the Coronation activities, the children made sparkly and bejewelled crowns to wear to our Friday afternoon outside disco! We also had a picnic lunch on Friday with all of our friends.
