Week 4 of P1/2s Adventures🌈

This week we focused on butterflies for our “how things grow” topic! 🦋 we looked at the caterpillars, what they eat, where they live and their different patterns.

We then learned about the lifecycle of the butterfly, creating diagrams. We used our knowledge of first, next, then, finally setntace starters to write about the description of the butterfly lifecycle.

We looked at the different parts of a butterfly and labelled a diagram, before learning about symmetry and pattern in the butterflies wings. We created our own symmetrical butterflies using tissue paper and laminating sheets to create stain glass art. 🦋

We used the cut outs from the stained glass to create splatter paint designs too 🎨

We looked at graphs again this week and started looking at how we can answer questions and collect information from them. We looked at measuring by completing our sunflower diaries and seeing how much they had grown. 🌻

We completed a peice of writing about what we did over the long weekend, and all completed follow up tasks with our reading groups 📚

Have a wonderful (hopefully sunny ☀️) weekend!
