Don’t forget it’s Walk to School Week starting tomorrow! Below is a link to the slides from assembly on Friday led by our Junior Road Safety Officer (JRSO) about Walk to School Week. Remember if you can’t walk or wheel to school from home, it’s still possible to park & stride, using the designated spots, so that as many of our children as possible can benefit from an active journey to school, and our environment is less congested, safer and cleaner. This links to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) Article 24 which says all children have the right to a clean and safe environment. Let’s make an effort this week, and promote active travel as a long-term benefit for all.
