Busy Bees

P2 have been busy bees the past few weeks! Here is a snapshot of some of the things we have been getting up to… 🙂

Our topic this term is ‘Marvellous Me’. This week we have been discussing our likes e.g. animals, sports and food… pizza was a favourite! We are using these ‘likes’ for our first piece of descriptive writing. P2 are making excellent use of their sounds and tricky words to help them write interesting sentences. 🙂 For homework, the children have been asked to take in a photo of themselves, doing something that they enjoy / are good at. This will form a display in class!

This week we have been developing our estimating skills. It proved to be a lot of fun only having 2/3 seconds to look at a set of objects before estimating how many there were! There were some very close and accurate estimates from many of the children in class.

I am sure you will have heard about Scout, our class mascot. This weekend he begins his weekend adventures with Charlotte. Each Friday, he will go home with a member of the class. Here is picture of him.
