Celebrating Scots 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💃🕺

On Rabbie Burns Day, we had such a fun morning. The three infant classes got together to learn some songs in the Scots language. We sang, ‘Heid, Shooders, Knaps and Taes’ and ‘Ye Cannae Shove yer Grannie Aff a Bus!’

We went to the gym hall for some Scottish dancing. We learned some typical steps to perform a Scottish reel to traditional music and then we had a chance to freestyle to The Red Hot Chilli Pipers playing a cover of AC/DC! 🎸⚡️Those of us that needed a moment after our first dance could watch the fun while they rested.

Then we had a chance to try a wee bit of shortbread, tablet and porridge.

On Friday, we listened to a story called, “Hamish the Hairy Haggis” and created our own Haggis creatures!
