Happy Friday P1,
It may have been a very short week but it’s been a busy learning one in class! ⭐
In Phonics we learned the ch sound (ch-i-ck/m-u-ch/ch-o-p) and revisited the tricky words- I, the, to and he. In writing we’ve been writing ch words and captions in our jotters. In Numeracy we introduced the rounding to the nearest 10 rule this week by starting with rounding the numbers 1-9 to either 0 or 10. In mental maths we’ve been solving subtraction problems. In Art we painted an emergency vehicle linking with our IDL topic. We’ve also attended assembly, visited the library and shared Steggy diary and the Show and Tell box in class.
