Nursery Updates

Stay and Play

We would love to invite parents and carers to our “stay and play” sessions on the 5th of March. Please see image below for times.

Safety in Nursery

Our nursery is very busy at the moment and the safety of our young people is our priority. The cloakroom and corridor area is becoming extremely congested, particularly at 3pm when most children are collected  We would like to ask the following of you:

1. Please could all prams and buggies be left outside of the nursery at all times, we just don’t have the space inside to accomode these anymore.

2. If you are chatting with friends, please can you do this outside of nursery – our corridors are just too busy.

3. Please please please make sure you close the door between the cloakroom and the corridor behind you. This door has a high handle which needs clicked shut. Leaving this open means that children can access the carpark.

4. If you don’t need to come through to the nursery room, please just wait in the cloakroom for your child and a member of staff will bring them to you.

Thank you for your help and understanding with this.

Toys and personal property in Nursery

We have recently had an increase in children bringing large toys and other personal belongings to nursery, while we understand that for some this helps with transition from home and settling, we would where possible discourage children from bringing toys and special belongings from home. This can cause upset as children are not keen to share their own belongings, or if things get lost or broken.

If children need to bring something from home, it would be best if it is something that can fit into their tray so it can be tucked away safely when they are settled for the day.

Again, many thanks for your support with this.
