P2 Wildlife Park Trip 🐅 🐻‍❄️

We had a fantastic trip to the Wildlife Park on Thursday! Miss Murray and I were so impressed with the children’s listening, curiosity, enthusiasm, and the way they acted together as a team by keeping each other safe and happy as we toured around the park! It was lovely to see the children from both classes mix so well together. A really fun day was had by all!

Trip highlights included:

  • Our bus tour through the park. Kirsten the tour guide told us lots about the animals and had physical things for us to feel. This brought many of the facts she told us to life! We got to handle – polar bear teeth, fur and claws, artic fox fur, and deer and elk antlers.
  • Seeing animals up close. The children loved seeing the tigers, artic foxes, snow leopards, monkeys and of course the wildcats!
  • We learned about the Wildcats rewilding programne. We saw where they are breeding wildcats and were given lots of information from Kirsten that we can use back i
  • Having our lunch beside the monkeys! They were so fascinating to watch!
  • The bus trips. It was great to be able to chat, watch the world go by through the windows, play I-spy and other games as we made our journey to and from school!

We took lots of photos. I must say that it was super tricky to catch all the animals on camera 📸 and it was important just to watch and observe without a camera in the way. We hope you enjoy seeing what we did capture on the day! Keep an eye on the blog as we may add more photos.

We’d like to thank our parent helpers for accompanying us on the trip! The trip ran so smoothly because you were there to help ☺️We hope you enjoyed the trip just as much as we did! Thank you!

Miss Carson and Miss Murray ☺️☺️
