Another action packed week in P1. We have been promoting lots of team work this week. Reinforcing the phrase team work makes the dream work!
In literacy we have been looking at sentence structure. Talking lots about how a sentence has to start with a capital letter, end with a full stop and must make sense. We have been working in pairs to unjumble sentences. We have also been practising reading and writing our P1 common words. For writing the children had to describe a house. Please see some of their amazing writing below.
In maths we have been looking at positional language and directions. There was great excitement on Tuesday when we welcomed the bee bots into the class. The children have worked together to learn how to programme the bee bots to get them to go to desired places and also make 2d shapes. We have focused on forwards, backwards, left and right.
