What’s happening in Nursery 4.9.24

I took my weekly learning walk (or “blog walk” as it’s now known) through nursery yesterday and here are all the fantastic things I saw and heard:

We have a lot of artists in our nursery. Some of the children were really proud to show me their creations. “This is my cat Seamus.” There is a fantastic new space for children to access materials and some wonderful art galleries to show off children’s skills.
Wonderful helpers! Two of the children were helping staff to set up snack for the children coming to after school club!
Reading stories, role play “I’m in my office, having fun with friends, scissor skills and sharing snack. Lots of busy children exploring and learning.
Meet our caterpillars. Their names are: Cherry, Connie, Colin, Rainbow and Kenny. The children are excited to see what happens next as they learn about life cycles.
Children across nursery have been sharing information about their families at home. Some of the staff shared children’s fantastic drawings and words with me today.

Lots of evidence of number, shape and counting. I’m looking forward to seeing lots more next week!

The children have been writing about their favourite stories and characters.

Wow! What a lot to share this week! Well done to all of the children and staff for a wonderful start to our new year in nursery.

I’m already looking forward to next week’s blog walk! Mrs MacFarlane 🙂🙂
