It was lovely seeing all the children back and ready to learn this week. The children have all been very keen to catch up with their friends and have worked together during their play to make lots of exciting things.
This week we started our first block of RME by exploring the Hindu festival of Diwali. We learned about the story of Rama and Sita that is celebrated during the festival and made some lanterns.
In literacy we have continued learning our digraphs. This week we looked at oa and ng. We have used our phonics to help us write spooky descriptions and practised writing words in paint.
For our maths we focussed on doubles and comparing groups. We played lots of games to help our learning.
As the nights get darker, we have also learned about how to stay safe in the dark. The children created some artwork to show what they will do to stay safe.
