Today P2 have enjoyed a fun day organised by the P7s. This morning we played some sports in the hall and even got to try curling. After break the P7s had organised a quiz all about Scotland. This afternoon we tried ceilidh dancing and everyone did a brilliant job picking up the steps to each dance.
This week we also tried lots of different fruits as part of our food topic. We tried pineapple, blueberries, banana, raspberries, peaches, apples and tangerines. I was very impressed by everyone’s positive attitude towards trying the fruits and lots of us found that we actually really liked some fruits that we thought we didn’t. We also completed a couple of science experiments involving bread and glitter to help us understand the importance of washing our hands.
In our literacy we explored the er and oi sounds. We have also introduced free writing jotters for the children to write about anything they want.
For our maths we have started looking at 3d shapes and learning their names. We have also tried new strategies to help us add.
Finally, Miss Mudie got far too excited with all our lovely activities today that she forgot to pick children for show and tell time. If your child would like to show something, please can they bring it in on Monday. Thank you!
