Everyone has settled back in well after the holidays. It was lovely hearing what everyone had been up to during the time off.
For the new term we have a new setup for our classroom. The children have enjoyed playing with different toys and have done such an incredible job of tidying up and remembering where everything goes.
We are starting to learn about money as our maths topic this term. To complement this, we have a shop set up in the classroom which the children have been having lots of fun with. We worked together to come up with a name for our new shop and decided on βThe Squishmallow Shopβ.
The class have been enjoying using recycling materials for junk modelling and have made some fabulous creations over the last few weeks. If you have any old boxes or bottles that you could spare, please could we have them for our junk modelling? Thank you.
This week we also began our new science topic, the Sun, Moon and stars. We explored the differences between daytime and nighttime and had a look at some constellations.
Today our assembly was led by Andy McKechnie. The class had a brilliant time joining in with some dancing and learning about respect.
P1 jotters are in the process of being sent home. If your child didnβt get theirs today then they will get on Monday.
