World Book Day…

…is not that long away! For this year’s WBD on Thursday 6th March we have a wide range of activities planned for the day. Thank you to Mr Munro and the P6/7 team for preparing for this big event on the school calendar.

More information will follow but we wanted to let you know now of two of the planned activities to give everyone time to prepare and join in!

  1. Pupils are invited to participate in ‘extreme reading’. Extreme reading can take place anywhere, as long as the person is reading their book! Over the next few weeks, we are asking for photos of ‘extreme reading’ so that we can enjoy and celebrate reading with the different photographs together in our WBD assembly on Thursday 6th March. If you would like to participate, please send a picture of your child/children reading to the school’s email address inshes.primary@highland.gov.uk by Monday 3rd March.
  2. On World Book Day everyone is invited to come to school with a single prop linked to a favourite book – for example, a wand, witch’s hat or red & white striped shirt!

We’re excited about celebrating WBD 2025 together!
