Week Beginning 12.5.25

Wow! What a busy and exciting week P2 have had!

A huge well done to everyone for delivering such a fantastic performance during our class assembly this morning. Everyone worked so hard to prepare and it really paid off. We spent some time playing outside afterwards as a reward for all their super effort over the last couple of days. Miss Mudie and Mrs Meade are so proud of everyone!

P2 also had their trip to the Botanical Gardens on Tuesday. Please see the blog post earlier in the week for more on this.

In numeracy we have been learning to solve time word problems. For our mental maths we have been working on our number bonds to 10, 20 and 100. Over the last couple of weeks we have learned about the concept of estimating amounts and tried rounding numbers to the nearest ten.

For literacy this week we have been writing recounts about our school trip. We also explored words using “ew”, such as chew and threw.

We have also continued our learning on the body and made some brilliant skeleton artwork.

Next Thursday we have the P1-3 sports day. We had a run-through  this week for all the different activities that we will be doing on the day. It’s fantastic to see everyone always trying their best and being so supportive of their teammates.

We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.
