Sports Day 🏅

P2 have had another busy week filled with lots of fun!

We enjoyed sports day on Thursday and it was so lovely to see the fantastic teamwork from everyone. I heard lots of children encouraging others and being really kind and supportive. Well done everyone for a super fun morning where we all tried our best! We definitely earned our yummy ice lollies!

P2 have begun learning about fractions of shapes and numbers. We are looking at halves, thirds and quarters. We will be completing an assessment task on this next week which will be sent home soon.

We have continued our learning on life cycles by planting sunflowers. The children have been very excited every day to see if theirs has begun to sprout. We also celebrated World Bee Day by completing some fantastic writing and beautiful artwork.

We have been recapping our previous learning on conjunctions and simple contractions (words like don’t and she’ll). We have also learned about the “ur” sound and spent time looking at the common words “you” and “with”.

We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing you again next week!
