Scottish Day

Thank you to everyone who came to our ceilidh last night. We did lots of dancing, which was tiring, but good fun. Today, we did Scottish activities in each class and had a ceilidh in the hall in the afternoon. The sports leaders organised curling and kinball in the hall this morning.

Author visit

Yesterday, Corrina Campbell visited the school to tell us more about her life as an author and illustrator. It was interesting to hear where she got her ideas for her books from. Our favourite part was when she taught us how to draw a bear and a person.

Japan weather and climate

Yesterday we were finding out about climate and weather in Japan and comparing it to Scotland. We wrote down our facts on a table. An interesting fact – The rainy season is during the summer.

Matthew is working with us this week and next to show us how to work with groups. This afternoon, we played team games and thought about how they could be changed for younger and older pupils.
