Magnetism in p5.6

We learned that magnetism is a force. A magnetism has north and south poles just like the earth. Poles attract or repel. Magnets work on iron based metals not aluminium or brass. We used this knowledge to make race track games.

Spring Fun

What a great time we all had at the Spring Funday! Thank you to all the P7s who have worked hard to prepare the events for us. It’s time for the holidays so we wish everyone a restful break and we will see the children back on 17th April.

Telephones

We experimented with cup and string” telephones”. The children discovered that the string must be taut in order to transport the vibrations along the string from speaker to listener. they also discovered that someone touching the string stops these vibrations and hence the sound. Secret Scientists

We had a great time in Science Week finding out about our world around us. We are learning about Mary queen of Scots who throughout her captivity , sent secret messages to her supporters in France and Spain. Boccia Gotcha!

Boccia (BO -CHA) is an Italian game similar to French boules or our grass bowl -there are even hints of curling ! the children had a great time and is sure to become an Inshes favourite. Thanks to the Sports Leaders for a professional coaching session!
