Wow! What a quick week in P4.
Our class have worked hard to learn new facts about the Roman Gods and Goddesses as well as creating a 3 course menu for a Roman feast. In writing the class described Mercury the messenger to the Gods in great detail, using adjectives, adverbs, similes and metaphors. In maths there has been lots of learning and consolidation around the 2, 3, 4, 5 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 times tables – including drawing word problems, using repeated addition, arrays and using known facts to answer a range of questions. The class had fun creating Roman helmets and shields from cardboard…it was amazing to see how creative everyone was and how well they worked together. During reading we continued to work on fluency and expression as well as answering questions fully. The class have also enjoyed learning more about homophones and contracted words.
