This week is British Science Week. We did lots of science related activities – Fingerprint investigation, Cup and String Telephones (with our buddies), made up new inventions to help in our homes and did some research on a chosen scientist.
Fingerprints – Fingerprints are either arches, whorls or loops. They are different patterns and each finger can be different. Each person has their own fingerprints. Pictures of our fingerprints are below.
Cup and String Telephones – We needed two cups, string and a pencil to make a hole in the bottom of the cup. We could hear what was being said because the sound transferred along the string to the other cup. We had to make sure the string was tight for this to happen. We did this experiment with our P1 buddies.
