Happy Friday P2/3,
Congratulations to Eve, Alise, Eddie and Amelia for achieving ‘Writers of the Week’. This week’s ‘Mathematician of the Week’ is Emily. Well done to Hamish for achieving the ‘Star of the Week’ award in assembly.
On Monday we took part in a IDL harvest knowledge. Our new IDL topic is called Our Ancient World. In Phonics the P2’s learned the split digraph a-e/snake sound. The P3’s learned silent letters b (lamb), w (write), l (walk) and k (knit). In writing we wrote a recount of our school trip.
In Mental Maths we have been learning about odd and even numbers. In Numeracy we have been ordering and recognising coins and solving addition money problems.

- Remember to bring in your P.E kit on Monday.
- Home learning will begin on Monday and will be returned on Wednesday 3rd May.
- Open Afternoons- P2/3 would like to invite the P2 families on Tuesday 16th May and the P3 families on Wednesday 17th May. Both open afternoons start at 1.40pm and finish at 2.30pm. Home time will be at the normal time of 2.45pm.
We had an absolutely fantastic day at Druid Temple Farm. Many thanks to all the family volunteers and especially to the farmers, Erin and Stuart.
