This week we have been learning about angles. There are lots of angles in the world around us. Below are some comments about what we have been learning:
We learned how to measure angles with a protractor.
An acute angle is less than 90 degrees.
Right angles are 90 degrees.
We had to make sure we always start at 0 degrees. Sometimes this was on the inside of the protractor, sometimes we read the outside.
A straight angle is 180 degrees.
An obtuse angle is greater than 90 degrees, but smaller than 180 degrees.
When we measured reflex angles, we had to measure and then take the answer away from 360 degrees.
