Our highlights from this week:
- In writing we described different settings in our story focus
- We worked in pairs to create story maps to help us retell the story
- We are working on our next steps with 2D shape. We are learning new shapes and how to talk about their properties. Rhombus was new to most and hexagon was new to some.
- We made shape pictures with 2D shapes and also cut out shapes. We made robots 🤖 cats, tractors 🚜 and even a rainbow frog 🐸.
- The P1s practiced their nativity songs with the other P1 class. We added actions to them.
- The P2s were focusing on the digraph oa and were building words and sentences. They also had a boat STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) challenge!
- The P1s learned the sounds o and u. We each made an octopus 🐙 with cereal o’s for suction pads. We created umbrellas ☂️ and decorated underpants with u words.
