It has been so lovely to have the sun shining this week and see the children coming to school in shorts and dresses. It really does feel like summer is on its way. The children will be outside for break and lunch and sometimes outdoor play so on sunny days please ensure they come to school with suncream on. Feel free to put a small tube in their bag should you wish them to reapply. I’m happy to help 😀
We had a practise run for sports day this week. The children made me really proud with their efforts to join in and team spirt… cheering their friend’s on. A reminder that infants sports is on Thursday at 9.30.
In literacy we introduced the sound ou this week. For writing the children were writing sentences trying to include ou words.
In numeracy we were continuing to look at money and seeing if we can make different amounts in different ways using a mixture of real and toy coins. We are talking lots about the size, shape and colour of coins up to 20p.
The children have been so CREATIVE this week with the Kapla. They were making towns and cities that included roads, car parks skate parks hotels, hair dressers etc.
