The primary sevens have started their social studies topic, Japan, with the other primary seven class. They have been learning about the differences between Japan and Scotland, as well as the weather in Japan. The primary sixes have been working on pollution, we have enjoyed learning about the types of pollution that impact on our planet. We have created posters and slideshow presentations about the impact of pollution on Inshes school.

We have enjoyed developing our knowledge on recount writing, we have created a recount story based on a short video clip on youtube. The class enjoyed structuring the recount and adding extra detail from the description bubble. After the October holidays, the primary sixes will continue to do their paired reading with the primary twos and the primary sevens will continue to work with their buddies.
We took part in the Scotland rocks maths competition a few weeks ago on TT rockstars, it was fun competing against other classes in Scotland. We did very well and the pupils enjoyed developing their times tables. We have spoke about different multiplication strategies in class, we are now moving on to information handling.
We also took part In a school activity which was delivered by our sports leaders and Matthew (active schools co-ordinator). We enjoyed playing capture the flag, we joined up with the other primary sixes and sevens.
It was lovely to meet everyone at parents night! please feel free to get in touch throughout the year if you have any questions. Mr Munro
