Primary 6/7 Blog

It has been a busy start to the term in Primary 6/7. We have started our new writing focus, response writing, which is where pupils are judging somewhere they have previously been. The class have now started writing their own pieces. In maths, the pupils have been working on decimals, shape and fractions. We will be moving on to percentages in the next couple of weeks.

The Primary 7’s recently went to Millburn for a visit and tour of the school. They spent time in the technology department, where they made their own pencil holders. The P7’s enjoyed their trip and are looking forward to the next one.

The Primary 6’s have continued working with the Primary 2’s on a Friday afternoon, we have recently been working on maths and creating a new toy. The Primary 7’s have continued to work with their buddies, focusing on maths activities. The class enjoys being able to support the younger pupils with their learning.

The Primary 6’s will be starting their swimming lessons on Monday 3rd February, this will run up to the Easter holidays. The Primary 7’s will join up with the other P7’s to continue to learn about World war 2.
