The primary 6/7s have been working very hard this term! we have had a wide variety of activities throughout the school. As a class, we had the opportunity to organise world book day, this was very successful and the school loved participating in the staff quiz! We have continued to learn about different subjects within the curriculum. We have focused on narrative writing, angles and fractions/decimals/percentages in maths, zones of regulation, as well as continuing our weekly reading/spelling.
The primary sixes have been attending weekly swimming lessons, they enjoyed the swimming lessons and behaved very well. They were able to have a 3 week rugby coaching block, before going to the festival last Friday. The festival was very successful and it was a great opportunity to meet other pupils from different schools. We had a few pupils from the class compete in the euroquiz competition, they all did very well and should be proud of themselves!
The primary sevens have had a couple of transition events this term, they have represented the school very well and are looking forward to moving to secondary school. The primary sevens have enjoyed learning about world war 2, in particular making soup with vegetables that would have been used in world war 2. They are all looking forward to their trip in June to Badaguish!
We have continued to have buddying roles throughout the school, the primary sevens continue to have weekly lessons with their buddies in primary one. The primary sixes have continued to work with the primary two pupils. The primary sixes has started their buddying process, they have been to the nursery two times over the last two weeks to meet the nursery staff and pupils.
