Baking
This week, we made scrambled eggs on toast. Cracking and whisking eggs is always great fun, and everyone was delighted to have their own individual egg! We used the microwave for a quicker cooking option, while the children refined their spreading skills. The result was very tasty indeed!

Learning through play
We observed some lovely social connections this week, with the children thoroughly enjoying the new mud kitchen and tyres for imaginative play. The wobble board continues to be a firm favourite—it’s a fantastic way to support balance and coordination skills!

Art
We continued exploring chalks in our art session this week, but this time moved onto paper. It was wonderful to see the children expressing themselves in new ways—smudging, blending colours, and some even beginning to create representational artwork. Great work, everyone!

PE
This week, we brought out the coloured equipment boxes for PE to see how the children would explore them. It was fantastic to see them demonstrating their throwing and catching skills, as well as kicking, batting, and even having a go at skipping! Great coordination and teamwork all around!

Sensory play
With the weather not on our side for a park visit, we enjoyed a sensory play afternoon instead. The children helped make beautifully scented cloud dough using cornflour and hand cream. They listened carefully to instructions and waited patiently for their materials. It was so much fun to roll, squash, and squeeze—wonderful sensory exploration all around!
