Please can I ask that no toys are brought into school unless otherwise agreed with staff. I am aware that few children are taking toys and other items into school without parents being aware and we don’t want these to be lost or broken. I have discussed with the children that from next week, any toys brought into class will be kept by me and returned to the adult picking them up at the end of the day. Children are allowed to bring toys for Show and Tell on Mondays but these must be handed to an adult at the start of the day. Thank you for your help with this.
P2 have been learning about counting in twos and using arrays to show sets of twos. We will be using our new knowledge to help us learn the 2 times table next week. We have also been working on adding money together to find the total.
This week we learned about words beginning with sca-, spl-, spr- and str-. We have also continued investigating the conjunction words “and” and “but” and are beginning to use these in our writing.
We also learned about the Sun as part of our science topic and explored how we perceive other people’s emotions. We have started learning football skills in PE and found out how teddies and Lego are made as part of our new interdisciplinary learning topic. This afternoon we joined our P6 friends in P6/7 for paired reading with our library books.
